I may be quite stupid to give up this information, but I have quite a handful of major shadow arts runes for the trader price if you know anyone that's desperately having trouble finding one.

Well, Assassin and Ritualist runes drop only in Factions, and most people is in Nightfall and Eye of the North.

ok , hang on a second, i thought you had to "unlock" runes to see them in the vendor list..

No, "Unlocking" lets you use them on PvP characters. What's in the vendors' lists depends entirely on what is being sold to the vendor.
